Gnome Sweet Gnome

I can't believe that July is almost over...and even more suprising is that I've drawn my last foodie gnome. Thanks for joining me this month as I explored the culinary arts of these little guys.

As you know, in August I'll start drawing your food. If you'd like to send me a food post or nominate someone else's please contact me here.

Have a great weekend!

Gnome in Rome

There must be gnomes in Rome...right?

Don't forget to submit your recipe links for next month. Find out more here.

Here are some examples of food I've drawn for others in the past...just click here.

GnomeBerry

Once again I was stuck for a gnome food and my 8-year-old daughter came up with this one.

What would I do without my kids? The idea well would be dry.

Beef BourguiGnome

This food was suggested weeks ago, but it's taken me awhile to figure out what to do with it. It was too darn cute to pass up, so Denise here you go!

Just Peachy

To just plan ahead, I wanted to let you know about next month's theme:

"Your Food, My Drawings"

If you have a fabulous recipe or food image, please let me know. I'll paint as many as I can, plus link back to your site...a little extra bonus. If you don't have a food blog, you may nominate recipes on other sites.

Please read my submission guidelines before sending your post.

I look forward to hearing from you! {print available}

Gnomey Dough-Gnut

Sprinkled, pink-frosted donuts are the perfect treat for the start of a long gnome day (or night).

{Jackie-This one is for you!}

Pie a la Gnome

I really love fruit pie, but it's ten times better with a scoop of ice cream.

Did you know that pie with ice cream is one of the few teasers that tempt gnomes to appear during the daylight?

A Gnome and her Cupcake

Every gnome needs a cupcake...actually, don't we all?

I'm thrilled to tell you about the Mystery Box Cupcake Challenge at The Sweetest Kitchen. Every month Jamieanne has a new challenge incorporating different ingredients. I encourage you to enter some tasty treats.

I was honored to illustrate her new logo...take a peak.

Ice Cream Gnome

I couldn't leave out my favorite food this month.

Gnome's love ice cream so much they usually have a gnome-cone in each hand.

If you have more gnome food ideas, please comment below! I'd love to include them.

Aunt Biddy's Mushroom and Dumpling Soup

Here is Aunt Biddy's famous mushroom and dumpling soup. Perfect for her growing gnome family.

{Thanks to the Curious Domestic for this gnome food suggestion via Twitter}

A Pear of Gnomes

If you have two gnomes then you must have a pear.

I love pears and mentioned a long time ago that I only eat them out of a can...never fresh. So bad, I know. Can I blame it on my husband since he does the shopping?

Toma-Gnome (tow-may-gnome)

Did you know there are gnomes that work in your tomato patch at night? Maybe they can coerce me to like tomatoes more.

Thanks to my 8-year-old daughter for the name of this gnome. If you have some creative ideas for foodie gnome names, let me know and I just might include it this month.

Oh, and I wanted to mention that these gnome illustrations are painted on some neat oval drink coasters...that my neighbor found at a garage sale {thanks Leila!}.

Gnome-Made Treats

Did you know the largest {concrete} gnome in the world is at Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa? Okay, I know that because I work there, but nonetheless it's been gnomey madness this summer.

We've had a lot of hubbub over these little creatures, so I thought it would be fun to pair them up with food this month.

Here we go!

{I have to give credit to my co-worker, Aaron, for the cute title this month too}
